Long summer days and cool mountain nights await at The Little House. Spend your days hiking, golfing, swimming, or exploring charming local shops and restaurants before returning home to relax and unwind.
Located just 8 minutes from Okemo and 5 minutes from downtown Ludlow, this cozy retreat is the perfect home base for couples and small families.
Need a little more room? The Cabin is located just across the street. Booking both homes together is a great option for extended families or groups traveling together who want to stay close while still having their own space.
The Little House is available to rent between June-October
LIVING & DINING AREA
Gather around the gas wood stove, which turns on with a simple wall switch. The warm wood-paneled walls create a cozy cocoon for curling up on the sofa or reading in a rocking chair.
The dining table seats six and is surrounded by windows that look out onto the backyard.
Not ready to totally unplug? The house includes WiFi and a smart TV with YouTube TV (for live channels), Netflix, and Prime Video.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a hearty meal after an adventure-filled day. We provide pantry essentials to get you started.
BEDROOMS
The Little House sleeps up to 6 guests in 2 bedrooms. For groups of adults only, we recommend a maximum of 4 guests for optimal comfort.
Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Full bed plus a twin daybed with trundle
BATHROOM
Our compact bathroom includes a shower, tub, and pedestal sink.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Step out onto the deck for a quiet morning coffee or enjoy an evening drink in the Adirondack chairs under the night sky.
The private backyard offers peaceful woodland views and a large open area for kids to play.
Where you'll be
We might be a bit biased, but we think the cottage is in the perfect spot for quiet and privacy with small town amenities close by. It's on the way into town from most points out of state, up on a quiet hill where you'll rarely hear more than a handful of cars pass in a day. Yet in three minutes, you can be at the bottom of the hill - 5 minutes to the right is the legendary Singletons store, Crows Bakery, or Outer Limits. 5 to the left, and you're right downtown just minutes from Okemo.
Getting around
The little house is located a few minutes up a town-maintained and plowed hill, but it is Vermont, so snow tires/ all-wheel drive/ all seasons are recommended! We don't anticipate any issues getting or out of the driveway.

Loved our stay at Kate's place for some skiing at Okemo. Quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable, and close to Ludlow. Thanks so much for the coffee and pancakes with syrup. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our own meals, and also enjoy Goodman's American Pie and The Killarney Irish Pub in town. Bedding was super comfortable for a good night's sleep after pounding some verticle feet all day on the mountain. Hope to stay again in the future.
